We recently put together a rather different diorama for the good folks of 2 PDF. It is a large scene with various components that form a snapshot of the recipient’s work, achievements and contributions.

This diorama was quite unlike the usual jungle scenes that we build. Therefore it was pretty challenging to plan and execute everything. However, we were very pleased with how things turned out in the end! Credit also goes to 2 PDF for coming up with the overall concept to begin with!

The full diorama gift set that we built for 2 PDF. It’s placed in our XL acrylic display case with LED lighting.

A SAW Gunner and M203 Gunner defend the base whilst a Section Commander patrols behind. The structure here is called a PROW. The Singapore Army’s Island Defence Unit usually deploys it in their operations.

A GPMG Commander and Gunner prone on the ground keeping watch. Concertina wire surrounds the border we well. We customised the figurines with an MP brassard to better reflect the roles in 2 PDF.
