The First Generation (1G) Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Soldier is easily identifiable in his Temasek Green uniform. This uniform was introduced in 1967 and had two pockets for the shirt and three pockets for the trousers, with the uniform always to be worn tucked in.

He is armed with the L1A1 SLR (Self Loading Rifle) and fully equipped FBO (Full Battle Order),  all ready to move out for a mission.
